TEXAS FOLK TALES AND LEGENDS
Texas beginnings were varied and challenging for the early settlers of Texas. Not only was survival a battle just in itself but there were many other obstacles which threatened life and limb on a daily basis.
Some of these stories are merely fun folk tales and others are true life old west experiences of survival and a few are flat out tall tales.
Gary Whitaker brings to life stories of these daring adventurers. Some of the stories include Bigfoot Wallace, Texas Ranger Jack Coffee Hays and many other fascinating characters.
The Storyman has been performing for over 20 years all over Texas in schools , libraries and at festivals .
This is a 40 minute program or longer depending on your needs and can last up to hour and a half. All of my programs are performed in costume.
